Markus examines the old Russian tradition of hanging carpets on walls. He interpretes the tradition in his own way: he transfers the carpet pattern into black and white, prints it in high resolution, writes phrases which are important for him, then scans the image and produces a synthetic carpet with this image. The carpet is placed on a wall again, or used on a floor or podium. The same image can be used on tiles - this way the carpet is attached to the wall for an even longer time.
